Orthopedist
Dr. Peng Cao has over 30 years of clinical experience in orthopedics, with expertise in the minimally invasive surgical treatment of common spinal degenerative diseases such as cervical and shoulder pain, lumbar and leg pain, spinal injuries, and osteoporosis. He is also skilled in the comprehensive diagnosis and surgical management of complex spinal disorders, including spinal deformities, spinal tumors, and spinal infections.
Dr. Cao is a Chief Physician and Doctoral Supervisor at Ruijin Hospital, affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He trained under renowned orthopedic experts, Professor Benfu Chai (Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences) and Professor Qingming Yang (Lifetime Professor at Ruijin Hospital). Dr. Cao has had multiple opportunities to study and train at prestigious orthopedic hospitals in Germany, Spain, the United States, and Singapore, focusing on spinal and spinal cord injury or degeneration, particularly in fusion and minimally invasive techniques. He has led multiple national scientific research projects and was selected for the “New Hundred Talents Program” of the Shanghai Health System (also known as the “Outstanding Discipline Leader Program”) and the “Hundred Talents Training Program” of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. Dr. Cao currently serves as the Deputy Leader of the Basic and Material Science Group of the Reconstructive and Rehabilitative Surgery Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine; a member of the Cervical Spine Committee of the Orthopedic Physician Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association; a member of the Spine Committee of SICOT China (International Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology); a member of the Spine Group of the Orthopedics Committee of the Shanghai Medical Association; Vice Chair of the Orthopedic Traumatology Committee of the Shanghai Association of Integrative Medicine; a member of the Orthopedic Traumatology Committee and the Osteoporosis Working Committee of the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine; a member of the Spine and Bone Diseases Working Committee of the Digital Orthopedics Group of the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering; a standing member of the Spine Committee of the Orthopedics Branch of the Shanghai Association of Private Medical Institutions; a member of the Perioperative Medicine Committee of the Shanghai Association of Integrative Medicine; and a member of the Health Advisory Expert Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission.

Dr. Dong Chen has more than 25 years of experience in orthopedics and sports medicine surgeries, both in Australia and China. He specializes in the accurate diagnosis and comprehensive management of common orthopedic conditions, minimally invasive arthroscopic surgeries, ligament reconstruction surgeries, joint replacement surgeries, orthopedic corrective surgeries across the regions of the musculoskeletal system, trauma surgeries, and the treatment of common pediatric orthopedic conditions. He has accumulated extensive knowledge and expertise across all areas of the specialty.
Dr. Chen graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Ph.D. of Surgery degree and previously obtained a Master of Surgery from Zhejiang University. After receiving his medical registration, he went through Orthopedic Surgery Registrar training with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. During this period, Dr. Chen underwent 5 years of comprehensive and systematic specialist training rotations at major hospitals around Sydney and Melbourne, and he achieved first place nationwide in the 2016 Orthopedic In-Training Examination (OITE) in Australia. He later served as an orthopedic surgery specialist in the Hunter New England Local Health District of New South Wales, where he was involved in orthopedic clinical practice and management, and the training of orthopedic registrars and medical students. After returning to China, Dr. Chen participated and lead the establishment and development of the orthopedics and sports medicine department at a couple of well-known private hospitals in Shanghai. In addition, he serves as the reviewer for the internationally renowned 'Biomaterials' and holds an Australian Orthopedic Association (AOA) accredited Hip and Knee Surgery Clinical Fellowship and an Australian Orthopedic Association (AOA) accredited Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Clinical Fellowship.

Head of Orthopedic Sports Medicine
Dr. Samson Cho has 20 years of clinical experience, specialized in sports injuries and arthroscopic surgeries. He emphasizes the importance of tailor-made treatment plan according to the individual's sports, working, daily activities and time schedule, starting from conservative approach until the real necessity to surgery. He is experienced in conservative treatment such as prolotherapy, rehab strategy and arthroscopic surgeries for shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle joints. He is leading a team of multi-specialties including surgeons, physiotherapists, chiropractors, etc. to provide comprehensive customized medical service to all individuals’ needs.
Administrative Deputy Director of Orthopedics Sports Medicine
Dr. David Jiang has an MD degree from the Shanghai Jiao Tong University school of Medicine in China, long term served in Orthopedic department of Ruijin Hospital as resident, attending doctor and associated professor. He completed further training at the Fuji Toranomon Orthopedic Hospital in Japan, and has been a visiting scholar at upstate medical university of New York. Dr. Jiang has over 25 years of clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of bone, joint, and muscular problems, sports injury etc., including arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, ankle injury such as cross ligament reconstruction, meniscectomy & repairing, rotator cuff repairing and cartilage injury of joints; four limb’s fracture with open reduction & implant fixation. Meanwhile he also has extensive experience with ankle and hand disorders, such as ankle ligament reconstruction, Hallux valgus deformity correction, Achilles tendonopathy, carpal tunnel syndrome treatment with operation etc. In addition, Dr. Jiang specializes in joint and spine pain management, using lumbar epidural injection, spinal facet joint injection. He serves as a lecturer for national continuing education classes of Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Medicine.

Dr. Sun Qing is an accomplished orthopedic specialist with over ten years of clinical experience, specializing in the treatment of joint diseases (knee, shoulder, hip, elbow) and rheumatic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, and osteoporosis. He is adept at diagnosing and managing common joint and sports injuries through both conservative and surgical treatments, as well as treating conditions like cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation, lumbar spinal stenosis, scoliosis, bursitis, tenosvnovitis, and tendinitis. Dr. Sun is also focused on the application of new orthopedic technoloqies, such as regenerative medicine, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections, and ultrasound-guided minimally invasive pain management techniques.

Dr. David Shen, Chief physician of Plastic and Hand Surgery. With over 25 years of clinical experience in Shanghai Top-Tier hospitals and Hannover Medical School in Germany.Dr. Shen is skilled in excision of skin lumps and secondary reconstruction, especially in mole removal with minimal scar and recognized as “internet celebrity doctor”. He performed tremendous procedures including aesthetic repair of facial skin laceration in both adults and children, ingrown toenail treatment, eyelid rejuvenation, injection beauty, underarm odour treatment, ear piercing, scar minimizing, scald injury. Dr. Anqia Wang is a senior orthopedist with nearly 20 years of clinical experience,who is a strong advocate of patient-centered treatment. He specializes in repair surgeries for trauma, arthroscope surgeries for sports injury and nerve decompression surgeries. Dr. Wang is also excellent at pain management for arthritis and spine problems.
Dr. Wang graduated from medical college of Fudan University. He studied at Tullen Hospital of Austria as a visiting scholar. He was head of Medical Affair Officer and chief doctor of Operation Center of two large general hospitals. He is the editor-in-chief of “Key Points and Skill of Orthopedic Surgery”. In addition, he was health care doctor for Shanghai Marathon, Shanghai Slalom Open and The 9th Global Conference on Health Promotion.

Dr. Yunlan Xu has nearly 30 years of clinical experience in pediatric orthopedics. Her areas of expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of various congenital and acquired skeletal, joint, and muscular disorders in children (such as developmental dysplasia of the hip, cerebral palsy, torticollis, Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease, etc.). She is also highly skilled in the precise management of pediatric fractures and tendon injuries. In addition, Dr. Xu is proficient in the correction and reconstruction of various pediatric hand, foot, and limb deformities, and has extensive experience in treating complex congenital hand and foot abnormalities. She has continually pursued innovation and has pioneered several advanced surgical techniques, including: Thumb reconstruction for "lobster-claw–type" polydactyly; "Grafting" procedures for triphalangeal thumb and thumb hypoplasia; Etiological analysis and thumb remodeling for congenital thumb ulnar deviation; Precision treatment of upper-limb deformities in children with cerebral palsy and multiple joint contractures. Her clinical philosophy emphasizes both functional restoration and optimal aesthetic outcomes, significantly improving the quality of life for her young patients.
Dr. Yunlan Xu is a Chief Physician and has completed visiting fellowships at Queen Mary Hospital (Hong Kong), Duchess of Kent Children’s Hospital (Hong Kong), and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (USA). She has published more than 20 SCI-indexed papers as first author or corresponding author, with a total impact factor exceeding 40, in addition to over 10 papers in Chinese core journals (including the Zhonghua and China medical journal series). She currently serves as a member of the Hand Surgery Division of the Shanghai Medical Doctor Association and a member of the Pediatric Orthopedics Group of the Orthopedic Division of the Shanghai Medical Doctor Association.

Dr. Jianfeng Xue is an associate chief physician in the Department of Orthopedics - Foot and Ankle Surgery at the Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital Affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He specializes in arthroscopic minimally invasive treatment of foot and ankle sports injuries, including acute and chronic ankle ligament injuries, ankle cartilage injuries, acute and chronic Achilles tendon injuries, peroneal tendon injuries, posterior tibial tendon injuries; correction of congenital and acquired foot and ankle deformities such as hallux valgus, flatfoot, high-arched foot, equinovarus foot; treatment of complex foot and ankle trauma fractures and soft tissue injuries such as ankle fractures, calcaneal fractures, talar fractures, midfoot and forefoot fractures and dislocations, Achilles tendon rupture, foot and ankle tendon injuries; surgical correction and secondary functional reconstruction of post-traumatic sequelae of the foot and ankle, such as correction of malunion of old fractures, surgical treatment of post-traumatic arthritis, and old Achilles tendon rupture.
Dr. Jianfeng Xue graduated from Fudan University Medical School. In 2012, he went to Switzerland to train and communicate with Professor Hintermann at the Foot and Ankle Surgery Department of Basel University and Professor Coillard at the Foot and Ankle Surgery Department of Lyon, France. In 2014, he was awarded the AO scholarship and went to Germany as a visiting scholar at the Dresden Foot and Ankle Surgery Center under Professor Zwipp, and also visited the Liestal Foot and Ankle Center in Switzerland and the Dresden Foot and Ankle Center in Germany. Dr. Jianfeng Xue currently serves as the secretary of the Shih Zhongmin expert group, a young member of the Foot and Ankle Group of the Chinese Orthopedic Association, a member of the Foot and Ankle Group of the Chinese Branch of SICOT, and an AOTrauma instructor.
