Introduction
Dr. Henri Chong has nearly ten years of clinical experience and is highly proficient in acupuncture (including cosmetic acupuncture and auricular acupuncture), cupping therapy, herbal prescriptions, as well as adult and pediatric Tuina massage. His areas of expertise include digestive system disorders, such as metabolic syndrome, chronic cholecystitis, gallbladder polyps, and recurrent oral ulcers; common modern conditions, including diabetes, bronchial asthma, gout, chronic fatigue, anxiety, and depression; and the integrated use of acupuncture and herbal medicine in the management of gynecological conditions, such as menstrual disorders, dysmenorrhea, endometriosis, uterine fibroids and cysts, and perimenopausal syndrome. He also specializes in common andrological conditions, including erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and benign prostatic hyperplasia. In addition, Dr. Chong is skilled in external therapies of traditional Chinese medicine, including classical acupuncture, Dong’s Extraordinary Points, Tuina, and cupping, for the treatment of chronic pain conditions such as head, neck, shoulders, lower back, and generalized back pain, as well as muscle strain. He is also experienced in TCM acupuncture-based aesthetic treatments for acne and rosacea, as well as therapies aimed at improving facial firmness.Dr. Chong graduated from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and completed a minor in Acupuncture and Tuina. He studied under renowned TCM physicians in Shanghai, including Professor Xinhui He, a Distinguished TCM Physician of Shanghai and the 29th-generation inheritor of the Jiangnan He Family medical lineage with an eight-hundred-year history, as well as several other eminent local masters. Dr. Chong is also a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner with the Malaysia Chinese Medical Association (MCMA) and currently serves as a mentor in the Mentor Group of the Ocean-Going Program of the International Education College of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (2023).
