Introduction
Dr. Emma Sun has nearly 10 years of clinical experience, proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of common cardiovascular diseases, including but not limited to hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary heart disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathies, etc. She particularly specializes in cardiovascular risk assessment and individualized management of risk factors, differential diagnosis and treatment of resistant hypertension, conservative drug therapy for heart failure of various causes, conservative drug therapy and surgical indication evaluation for valvular heart disease, as well as differential diagnosis and treatment of different types of cardiomyopathy.
Dr. Emma Sun obtained MD degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. In 2017, she went to Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in the United States to complete clinical observations in cardiology and cardiac surgery, and received advanced training in preoperative cardiac imaging assessment and perioperative management of valvular heart disease. In addition, she underwent national standardized internal medicine residency training at Shanghai General Hospital in 2018, followed by specialist training in cardiology at Shanghai Chest Hospital in 2019. Dr. Sun currently serves as a member of Cardiovascular Disease Professional Committee of Shanghai Association of Social Medical Institutions and a fellow-in-training member of American College of Cardiology (ACC).

Dr. Jimmy Yao is an UK-trained cardiologist with over 12 years of experience working in the UK national health service (NHS) and holds specialist registration in cardiology and general internal medicine from the UK General Medical Council (GMC). Prior to returning to Shanghai, he served as a consultant cardiologist and general physician in the UK. Dr. Yao has extensive expertise in managing a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, angina, ischemic heart disease, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, syncope, and heart failure. He received advanced training in interventional cardiology at the renowned Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, where he performed over 1,000 percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and developed a strong proficiency in intravascular coronary imaging and intravascular haemodynamic assessment. Dr. Yao is also certified in echocardiography (TTE) and cardiac CT angiography (CTCA), enabling him to offer safe and precise diagnostic services.
As a member of the Royal College of Physicians (RCP), the British Cardiovascular Society (BCS), the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS), and the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), Dr. Yao has contributed significantly to medical education. He has served as a tutor for the Royal College of Physicians and played an active role in training the next generation of healthcare professionals. Dr. Yao has also published numerous articles in international journals and presented at renowned academic conferences globally.
