Introduction

Dr. Fei Tan has been engaged in clinical practice in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery for nearly twenty years. His areas of expertise include conservative surgical management of pediatric conditions, such as tonsillar and adenoidal hypertrophy, snoring and sleep-disordered breathing, and ankyloglossia; endoscopic surgery for nasal disorders, including sinusitis, nasal polyps, deviated nasal septum, and chronic dacryocystitis; microsurgical management of otologic diseases, including otitis media, tympanic membrane perforation, cholesteatoma, and implantable auditory prosthetic devices; minimally invasive surgery for benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck, involving the thyroid gland, parotid gland, submandibular gland, larynx, tongue, hypopharynx, and skin; as well as functional reconstructive surgery for craniofacial deformities.

Dr. Tan is a Lifetime Fellow of both the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He completed ten years of structured surgical training in the United Kingdom under the Royal College of Surgeons system. He has long been involved in clinical practice and basic research in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery, as well as interdisciplinary research spanning biomaterials, biotechnology, and biomedical engineering, and has served as principal investigator for multiple national- and provincial-level research projects. As first or corresponding author, Dr. Tan has published more than thirty articles in SCI-indexed journals, including Cell and Nature, with individual publications achieving impact factors approaching 40. He has received numerous academic honors and dedicated research funding, including grants from the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Shanghai Overseas High-Level Talent Introduction Program (Shanghai Thousand Talents Program), and the Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program.

Dr. Xiaoyan Li is a Chief Physician, Doctor of Medicine, and Professor with over 30 years of clinical experience in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Li specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of adenotonsillar hypertrophy, acute and chronic rhinitis, sinusitis, and otitis media. She has extensive experience in surgical treatment of laryngotracheal stenosis, congenital laryngeal anomalies (such as laryngeal webs and clefts), and laryngomalacia. Additionally, she has achieved remarkable success in the surgical treatment of branchial cleft cysts, pyriform sinus fistulas, thyroglossal duct cysts, and neck vascular malformations (such as lymphangiomas). Dr. Li is also at the forefront in the fields of pediatric airway obstruction, pediatric maxillofacial deformity correction, head and neck surgery, and cochlear implantation in China.

Dr. Li is the head of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the Chief Clinical Expert at Shanghai Children's Hospital. She is one of the main formulators of the "Chinese Guidelines for Plasma Surgery in Pediatric Tonsil and Adenoid Treatment". She also serves as the Deputy Director of the Pediatric Group of the Chinese Medical Association's Otolaryngology Branch, Deputy Director of the Pediatric Committee of the Chinese Sleep Research Society, Deputy Director of the Pediatric Allergy Committee of the Chinese Health Promotion Association, Deputy Director of the Pediatric Committee of the Chinese Women and Children's Minimally Invasive Society, and a member of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association Otolaryngology Committee.

Dr. Hui Liao graduated from the seven-year clinical medicine program at the Wuhan University Medical School. He is specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of nasal diseases such as allergic rhinitis, chronic rhinitis sinusitis, nasal polyp and minimally invasive surgery with functional nasal endoscope; diagnosis and treatment of snoring (sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome) and sleep disorders related diseases in children and adults; minimally invasive surgery for adenoid hypertrophy and tonsil hypertrophy; tympanic membrane incision and catheterization under the ear endoscope; diagnosis and treatment of throat diseases under microelectronic laryngoscope; microsurgical treatment of vocal cord polyp and laryngeal tumor; diagnosis and treatment of vertigo; diagnosis and treatment of common and frequently occurring diseases in ear; nose, throat, head and neck surgery.
