Introduction

Dr. Asai is a foreign-trained Psychiatrist with over 15years working experience. She had accumulated experience in psychiatric treatment for a wide range of age groups. At psychiatric hospital, she had clinical experiences in acute psychosis, severe mood disorders, dementia, and addiction treatment.  At a general hospital, she provided consultation liaison services (specialized psychiatric care in collaboration with multiple disciplines) for inpatients with delirium and other co-occurring psychiatric symptoms. At the clinic, she had provided treatment for mild to moderate mood disorders, general anxiety disorders, and Neurodevelopmental disorders. During the above years, she also had provided support for those who have returned to work after a leave of absence due to mental illness. In her practice, she not only diagnoses the patient's mental condition, but also listens to the patient's complaints, examines how the patient's environment and way of life have affected the symptoms that are currently present, and provide treatment through psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and pharmacotherapy. She is committed to providing care that is in tune with her patients' feelings, which better leads to improving the patient's symptoms and quality of life.

Dr. Frank Dong has extensive experience in the field of mental and psychological disorders, with a particular expertise in the treatment of depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, insomnia, drug addiction, and other mental, psychological, and behavioral illnesses. He advocates for precision medicine based on modern science and grounded in clinical practice, dedicated to providing individualized and comprehensive treatment plans to help patients regain their mental and physical health.

Dr. Frank Dong graduated from the Fourth Military Medical University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Medicine degree. After graduation, he worked at Shenyang General Hospital and Shanghai Second Medical University. In 1993, he furthered his studies in the United States, where he earned a Doctor of Medical Science degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. From 2005 to 2009, Dr. Frank underwent specialized training in psychiatry and psychology at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington, D.C., and remained as an attending psychiatrist at the hospital from 2009 to 2017. From 2017 to 2022, he joined the West Virginia Veterans Affairs Medical Center as an attending psychiatrist. He is licensed to practice medicine in Maryland and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association. He holds a board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Since 2022, Dr. Frank has been employed at a high-end private hospital in Shanghai specializing in psychiatry.

Dr. MAK, Greg is a highly experienced specialist psychiatrist with over 20 years of clinical experience. He has extensive expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of psychiatric disorders, including depression, anxiety, panic disorder, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. In addition, he has conducted in-depth research and practical experience in managing sexual health issues and transgender-related conditions. Dr. Mak offers integrated treatment plans combining psychological counseling, behavioral therapy, and pharmacotherapy to support patients in restoring mental wellness.

Dr. Mak graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), followed by a Master of Medical Sciences. He is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine and a Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Psychiatrists. Dr. Mak currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at both the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He previously held the position of Consultant Psychiatrist at a top-tier private hospital in China. Dr. Mak is the President of the Asian Professional Association for Transgender Health and serves on the Executive Committee and as Clinical Consultant of the Asian Family Therapy Association. He also holds multiple professional certifications, including Certified Sex Therapist (U.S. and Hong Kong), Certified Transgender Health Provider, and Certified Training Supervisor. Furthermore, he was appointed as a Special Invited Editor for the World Health Organization (WHO) on the ICD-11 diagnostic standards for sexual health, contributing to the formulation of international clinical guidelines.

Dr. Mak is currently based in Hong Kong, where he serves as an Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist at Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong, and also provides psychiatric services at Parkway Jin Qiao Medical & Dental Center in Shanghai.
