Introduction
Dr. Asai is a foreign-trained Psychiatrist with over 15years working experience. She had accumulated experience in psychiatric treatment for a wide range of age groups. At psychiatric hospital, she had clinical experiences in acute psychosis, severe mood disorders, dementia, and addiction treatment. At a general hospital, she provided consultation liaison services (specialized psychiatric care in collaboration with multiple disciplines) for inpatients with delirium and other co-occurring psychiatric symptoms. Dr. Mak currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at both the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He previously held the position of Consultant Psychiatrist at a top-tier private hospital in China. Dr. Mak is the President of the Asian Professional Association for Transgender Health and serves on the Executive Committee and as Clinical Consultant of the Asian Family Therapy Association. He also holds multiple professional certifications, including Certified Sex Therapist (U.S. and Hong Kong), Certified Transgender Health Provider, and Certified Training Supervisor.
