Introduction

Dr. Akiko Natalie Tomonari is a foreign-trained Gastroenterologist with over 15 years clinical experience. She specializes in hepatology, gastroenterology, and endoscopy procedures. She can treat patients with a broad range of hepatic diseases including viral, autoimmune, metabolic hepatitis and has special interest in gastroenterology, hepatology, upper and lower endoscopy screenings and procedures. Dr. Akiko graduated from Chiba University School of Medicine (Japan). She is certified MD in Japan and is board-certified member of the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine and the Japanese Society of Gastroenterology. She is also a member of the Japanese Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society, the Japanese Society of Hepatology, the Japanese Society of Neurogastroenterology and the Japanese Gastroenterological Association. She is also author of many peer-reviewed medical articles, published in international journals.

Dr. Helen Pan is an Associate Chief Physician who has been engaged in gastroenterology for nearly 20 years. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of common digestive diseases such as chronic gastritis, Helicobacter pylori infection, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), diarrhea, constipation, digestive tract tumors, acute pancreatitis, and fatty liver. She is also proficient in endoscopic diagnostic and treatment techniques, including endoscopic treatment of gastrointestinal bleeding, removal of foreign bodies, treatment of gastrointestinal polyps, and early cancer screening.

Dr. Pan graduated from Zhejiang University School of Medicine with a Doctorate in Medicine and studied as an exchange scholar at West Virginia University in the United States. She previously worked in the Department of Gastroenterology at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, where she was honored as an outstanding worker and served as the Publicity Committee Member of the Second Branch of the Department of Gastroenterology.

In 2020, Dr. Pan supported Taijiang County People's Hospital in Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province, serving as Acting Director of the Internal Medicine II Department, where she was recognized as an Outstanding Communist Party Member of Taijiang County. She has also served for many years as an instructor for standardized resident physician training and holds certification in Clinical Trials of Drugs and Medical Devices in Zhejiang Province, as well as an Animal Experimentation Certificate.

In addition, Dr. Pan has been the principal investigator for one Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Project, participated in one National Natural Science Foundation project, and has published multiple SCI-indexed research papers.
